Shift Habits ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it when you use the Shift Habits mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").

• Account data — email address and display name when you create an account.
• Usage data — habits you create, completion logs, and in-app settings, stored to provide the core Service.
• Analytics data — anonymous usage events (screens visited, features used) to improve the app. No personally identifiable information is attached to these events.
• Device data — device type, OS version, and app version, collected automatically for crash reporting and compatibility.

We do not collect payment card details directly — purchases are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) and are subject to their respective privacy policies.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Operate and sync your habits across devices.
• Send optional reminders and push notifications.
• Improve the Service through aggregated, anonymised analytics.
• Respond to support requests you send to our email address.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from within the app, which permanently removes all associated personal data within 30 days.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services which may process data on our behalf:

• Supabase — backend database and authentication.
• PostHog — product analytics (anonymised events).
• RevenueCat — in-app subscription management.
• Apple / Google — push notifications and in-app purchases.

Each provider has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) and encrypted storage. No system is 100% secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
